Kiran Manandhar

Born in 1957 A.D. in Kathmandu, Kiran Manandhar completed his Masters’ Degree in Fine Arts in Painting from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India in 1981 A.D. He has done almost two hundred solo exhibitions within the country and abroad participating in countless group art shows and art activities the world over. He has been felicitated with numerous prestigious awards and accolades nationally and also internationally. He is the Ex-Chancellor of Nepal Academy of Fine Arts. He succeeded in registering his name in Guinness Book of World record for creating a longest painting in shortest time period.

A man with immense artistic skills, his works reflect balance between spontaneous confident lines and well balanced daubs of vibrant colors. The artist usually depicts unison between male and female figures; his frequent theme being the Radha Krishna, mythological characters in Hinduism. A second generation artist, Kiran Manandhar enjoys collaborating with the young generations and likes to keep himself up-to-date with contemporary times.
