Krishna Gopal Ranjit

Krishna Gopal Ranjit, a veteran artist born in 1932 in Pokhara, is a self-taught artist whose contributions to Nepalese art are unparalleled. Beginning his artistic journey at an early age, he has held over twenty solo exhibitions in Nepal, Japan, and Thailand, along with participating in prestigious group exhibitions such as the National Art Exhibition organized by NAFA, Expo Japan 1970, and an art exhibition by Fuji Television, Japan. Recognized for his exceptional talent and impact, he has been honored with numerous accolades, including the Rashtriya Prativa Puraskar (National Talent Award) in 2004, an International Award from Fuji Television in 2000, and the title of Ambassador for Peace by the Universal Peace Federation in 1997. Additionally, he has been felicitated by organizations such as NAFA, Newa Khala of Pokhara, the Commercial Artists’ Association of Nepal, and the International Federation for World Peace, South Korea. Beyond painting, he also contributed as a designer at the Royal Nepal Airlines Corporation (RNAC), showcasing his artistic versatility.
