D. Ram Palpali

Born in 1969 in Palpa, he is a self-taught artist with an impressive career in watercolor painting. With three solo exhibitions held in Nepal and abroad, he has also actively participated in numerous group exhibitions and workshops in Nepal and the USA, including the prestigious “National Exhibition of Art and Craft” organized by the Nepal Academy of Fine Art.
His artistic excellence has been recognized with several awards, including the “Ranglal Bangdel Smriti Exhibition Rastriya Kala Kaushal Award”, “Camlin Art Foundation Calcutta Professional Award” National Film Festival Award”, and the “Nepal Art Council Award” among others.
As one of Nepal’s skilled contemporary watercolorists, his work captures “landscapes, heritage sites, and temples” giving a deep cultural connection. His paintings are admired for their “remarkable tonal values, transparency, and freshness”, which make them very impressive. Whether depicting the “rural expanses of Nepal or the timeless beauty of its temples and scenic valleys”, his watercolors give viewers to the heart of these environments, leaving a lasting impression on audiences.
