K. P Shah

Krishna Prakash Shah (born August 28, 1972 A.D.) is a famous modern abstract artist and researcher from Nepal. He has spent over 30 years creating art and studying its history, earning a Master Degree in Fine Arts in painting from Tribhuvan University. Instead of painting real things like people or landscapes, he creates abstract art using fluid acrylic colors, textures, and shifting shapes. He uses a unique flow technique to capture deep inner feelings, positive energy, and spiritual peace, giving his paintings a musical rhythm that feels very peaceful and meditative.

As a well-known representative of Nepali art, Shah has shown his paintings in many exhibitions at home and abroad. He has held three major solo art exhibitions in Nepal and three highly praised solo shows in Europe, helping introduce modern Nepali abstract art to Western audiences. His paintings have also been included in over one hundred group exhibitions worldwide, including the National Exhibition of Arts and Craft in Nepal and the 14th Asian Art Biennale in Bangladesh in 2011 A.D. For his great work, he won the National Fine Arts Award from the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts and wrote an important book called “Nepali Abstract Paintings: A Development Analysis”.
